So here’s the gist of me:
My Story: The Night Everything Changed
I was in a hotel room in Paris with my husband, celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. It was 1:30 in the morning, and while he was fast asleep (which was rare, since he’s usually the one with insomnia), I was wide awake. Not just a little restless, but buzzing with this weird energy I couldn’t shake.

I kept telling myself it would pass. I turned on some old Sex and the City episodes to distract myself, but the feeling only got louder. Eventually, my heart was racing so fast I had to wake him up. That night, I had my first panic attack. I was 39.
Like a lot of women, I went to my doctor and my gynecologist looking for answers. Instead, I got a prescription for Xanax and was told to come back “when I hit menopause” to talk about hormones. The word perimenopause wasn’t even mentioned. I left those appointments feeling dismissed, ashamed, and honestly… still really confused.
Eventually, I found my way to a naturopathic doctor back in Canada. She specialized in women’s health and took the time to listen, to explain what was happening in my body, and to validate what I’d been feeling all along. That conversation changed everything for me.
Once I understood that what I was going through was normal (not in my head, not “just anxiety,” but part of a bigger hormonal shift) I finally felt like I could breathe again. I wasn’t broken. I just needed the right support.
That experience is exactly why I do the work I do today.
As a holistic nutritionist, I support women in midlife who are navigating the confusion, burnout, anxiety, and body changes that often come with perimenopause. I’ve lived it. I get it. And I know how powerful it can be to feel seen, heard, and supported by someone who’s been there too.
You don’t have to white-knuckle your way through this phase of life. There are ways to feel better, and I’m here to help you find them.
