Supporting detoxification and elimination is key to managing your health, in particular, your hormonal health. Alcohol consumption, drug use, fatty liver, and oral contraceptives, are only a few of the many factors that can congest a healthy liver. This salad supports liver detoxification, and (bonus) it also feeds your microbiota (good gut bugs).

If you’re concerned about raw cruciferous for your thyroid, go ahead and steam the kale, broccoli, Brussel sprouts and cabbage for 5-10 minutes. Massaging with lemon juice supports healthy digestion and breaking down goitrogens, but if you feel warry, go ahead and steam.
