If you’re looking for an alternative to your daily coffee, try my Maca Morning Elixir!
Maca entered my life last year when it was confirmed that I had very low estrogen levels. Gotta love menopause! Maca is an adaptogen herb which means it helps the body “adapt” and deal with different stressors.
I love maca for many reasons. It ticks a lot of boxes for women who are struggling with common symptoms associated with any of the stages of menopause (peri-, pre-, or post-). Maca can help with nervousness, insomnia, heart palpitations, low libido, and vaginal dryness (oh fun!)
Maca isn’t just for the ladies! It can also support men’s health too (healthy libido and sperm function).
Some of the other ingredients in this elixir make me happy:
  • Cacao powder – anti-inflammatory, antioxidant
  • Cinnamon – blood sugar stabilizing, anti-inflammatory, digestive support
  • Turmeric – anti-inflammatory, liver detox support
  • Raw honey – anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, antioxidants, soothing (digestive support)

This elixir would also be great as an energizing afternoon pick-me-up. Decadent and very grounding. Sometimes I add a teaspoon of raw coconut butter if I’m feeling extra indulgent. Takes it to a whole other level. This is totally optional though.

Enjoy!
